Nice to meet you!

Hello!

I'm Lucy, the floral preservation artist behind Fields of Pressed Flowers. I live on the edge of the New Forest in Hampshire with my husband & two young sons. With a 10+ year career in architecture (I was a qualified Architect!), pressing flowers started as my hands-on creative outlet but has evolved into my own business!

Like many people, I pressed flowers as a child but started pressing again during my Masters Degree, where pressed flowers formed the basis of the exploration for my project. However, it wasn’t until after my own wedding in February 2019 that I thought about pressing flowers again. Having been unable to preserve much of my own bouquet, Fields of Pressed Flowers began as a hobby in the summer of 2019 when I started pressing friends wedding bouquets to create keepsakes as wedding gifts. By mid 2022 I realised I could actually turn my growing hobby into a proper business &, as of April 2024, I took the plunge & decided to move away from architecture & concentrate on my business full-time!

I love being creative & handcrafting bespoke pieces of art from sentimental flowers is so fulfilling. As a perfectionist, & from my background in architecture, I take a lot of pride in my work & like to pay attention to the little details. Floral preservation is a process & I truly care about each piece of art I create. I particularly love that I am creating special pieces of art that encapsulate happy memories for so many couples, to be enjoyed & displayed for years to come!

meet the team

Fields of Pressed Flowers began with me working alone in my kitchen, carefully pressing flowers one by one. Since then, it has blossomed into a thriving business with its own studio space, a soon-to-be shop front workspace, & a small team of wonderful helpers who share my passion for turning special flowers into lasting keepsakes. Their help allows me to focus on the reason I got started, creating framed artwork with your special flowers.
