terms of service

Below are the terms of service. You agree to the following when purchasing Fields of Pressed Flowers Ltd services.

PAYMENT

If you contact Fields of Pressed Flowers Ltd (FoPF) within a week of, or after your wedding/event, full payment may be required at the time of placing your order. Where your wedding/event is yet to occur a deposit can be made to secure your date, with half the remaining amount to be paid before your wedding/event, unless agreed otherwise, the remaining balance is to be paid before your mock up is undertaken. FoPF asks for prompt payment of balances upon receipt of invoice. Reminders will be sent once the payment date (noted on your invoice) has passed & if payment is very late interest may be added. Design work will not commence until payment is made & no finished frames will be sent out if the remaining balance is not settled.

REFUNDS

You understand that once purchased there are no refunds or cancellations unless the event is cancelled or you request the refund at least 21 days before the event date. If a deposit has been paid, a refund is at the discretion of FoPF & may incur an administrative fee. Where the final balance has been paid, if your space can be filled by a new order you will be fully refunded (minus your deposit), else a partial refund will be made. Where your frame has been finished, no refund is possible. If you later decide you only want your flowers pressing & returned, not in a frame, a partial refund may be available, minus the cost for admin & pressing/checking time, & postage. This option is available at FoPF’s discretion.

COMMUNICATION

You will receive confirmation of receipt of your flowers arriving, & then again once your flowers are out of the press & have joined the design queue, approximately 12 weeks after receipt. There will not be any updates in between the out of press email & the design phase - your flowers will be carefully stored in the meantime. FoPF will communicate with you via email regarding the status of your flowers & to send any layout designs for comment/approval. FoPF understands that everyone’s lives are busy & things come up, but requests a response or acknowledgment of communication relating to mock-ups within 72 hours.

SENDING YOUR FLOWERS

FoPF strongly recommends that bouquets/event flowers are sent via next day delivery with Royal Mail Special Delivery, or a trusted specialist next day courier. FoPF must receive your bouquet/special event flowers within 5 working days after the wedding/event; the sooner they are received, the better the outcome for your flowers. Ideally, 1-3 days is best.

FoPF cannot be held responsible for deterioration caused by delays in posting, weather exposure, poor packaging, or the condition of the flowers prior to arrival. If your flowers arrive & are unworkable, or are lost in transit, you have the option to order replacement stems to be used. A quote will be obtained for replacement stems by FoPF & sent to you. If you do not wish to proceed with your order a partial refund may be available. You agree to review the posting & care instructions prior to your wedding/event. If your wedding/event takes place on a Friday, FoPF recommends that you wait until the following Monday before sending your flowers or to post on the Saturday but making use of the hydration kit available to purchase from my website as this will keep them fresher during the delayed transit. If your wedding falls on a bank holiday weekend the best day for sending your flowers will be discussed. FoPF will not return any containers used to hold your stems in transit, but when possible will return any ribbons, & where requested any leftover pressed flowers, with your frame. You are responsible for all postage costs associated with sending your bouquet/event flowers to FoPF.

LAYOUT & DESIGN

FoPF will use professional judgment on what should be included in your final piece, how much space will be in your piece, & the overall look. If you find inspiration in pieces FoPF has done in the past & would like your final piece to resemble that layout, FoPF will do our best to imitate it if your flowers permit us to do so; FoPF does not work off of other artists’ designs. A mock-up will be designed & sent to you, & you understand that your final piece will not look entirely like the approved mock-up. Please note FoPF no longer offers ‘bouquet’ style designs. All artwork is signed for copyright protection &, unless specified before framing, artwork is designed to be displayed portrait, with the signature to the bottom right. All designs, layouts, & artwork remain the intellectual property of FoPF. Customers may not reproduce, copy, or commercially exploit the designs in any form.

TIMESCALE

All timescales provided are estimates, & while FoPF makes every effort to meet agreed deadlines, delays may occur due to the small business nature of the operation. These delays do not entitle the customer to a refund or compensation. You understand that this timeframe can be around 52+ weeks from the receipt of your flowers. Designs are worked on in date order unless otherwise agreed, & a rush fee may apply if you need your flowers returned by a certain date. You understand that FoPF is asmall business & all design work & framing is solely undertaken by Lucy.

FoPF shall not be liable for delays caused by circumstances beyond reasonable control, including but not limited to postal disruption, illness, supplier delays, extreme weather, or other unforeseen events.

DELIVERY

FoPF shall not be liable for any delays, losses, or damages in transit, & you acknowledge that the risk of loss passes to you upon dispatch. The delivery address will be checked with you prior to posting, however you understand that you are responsible for providing the correct delivery details. You understand that your email address & mobile number will be used for delivery updates.

Your order will be sent via next day, fully insured delivery using Royal Mail Special Delivery or Parcelforce Express 24 where required. Where a preferred delivery day is specified, FoPF will, where possible, aim for this delivery date, however FoPF is not responsible for any delays once your order has been dispatched.

Every frame is carefully packaged using protective materials to ensure safe transit. Due to the delicate nature of pressed flowers and handmade artwork, minor movement of petals, small particles, or dust may occasionally occur during delivery. This is considered normal & does not constitute damage or a fault. If any significant damage occurs during transit, FoPF will work with you to find a suitable resolution.

Any concerns regarding damage, defects, or the condition of the artwork upon delivery must be reported to FoPF within 24 hours of receipt, together with clear photographic evidence where applicable. Due to the bespoke nature of the product & the conditions in which it may be stored or displayed after delivery, issues reported after this timeframe may not be eligible for replacement, refund, or further review.

PRODUCT CARE & DISCLAIMER

Pressed flowers will naturally fade & may change colour over time, & how and where the artwork is displayed can affect the rate of fading. FoPF does not apply colour correction or sprays to alter natural flower colours. You understand that your original flower colours can change while in the press. White roses are especially prone to yellowing/browning & all flowers can change in colour, with the colour of the flower when it enters the press being different to that when it comes out. Once out of the press, pressed flowers are stored in a temperature & moisture controlled environment & will not change colour or state whilst being stored.

Every effort is made to securely adhere flowers using methods that provide the best possible hold without damaging or altering their appearance. Due to the delicate nature of pressed flowers, slight movement of petals or leaves may occur over time & this is considered a normal characteristic of handmade pressed flower artwork.

You understand it is important to keep your frame out of direct sunlight, away from excessive heat & humid conditions, & to handle your frame with care. Wipe clean with a soft damp cloth. Coasters come with silicone feet to protect furniture & are sealed between but are not water tight.

Where UV protective or anti-reflective acrylic upgrades are selected, customers understand that these materials may have a subtle diffused or frosted appearance as part of their protective properties. This is a characteristic of the material and does not constitute a fault.

All due care is taken to ensure the long-term quality of your piece prior to delivery, including proper drying & preservation. Once your item has been delivered, FoPF cannot be held responsible for any damage that occurs due to handling, use, or environmental conditions.
